What I'd like to share about Coach Justin Michaels- I am one of his...”mature” clients (over 65).
I have always been active and had exercised one way or another throughout my life. After struggling with a back issue that kept me from enjoying my activities, I turned to water exercise. The water was my saving grace. I strengthened my core muscles significantly, which helped with my issues. But, I knew I could do more. My daughter recommended I see a personal trainer. That trainer was Coach Justin. I can tell you it wasn't easy, but with his guidance, positive energy and discipline, I had steady improvement and a lot more core strength. The core strength I developed protected my spine and I was able to challenge myself further.
As of today, I am going on 5 years of training with Justin. That says a lot. I have learned so much about resistance training and how an “all body” workout helps with flexibility (so important for the
“mature” person). I have sent many friends and acquaintances to Coach Justin throughout the years.
I have seen tremendous improvements to these clients, in a relatively a short time.
I never dreamed that I'd be doing this type of workout for this long. He did inspire me and found ways to push me beyond what I thought would be my limits in exercising. I have never been stronger and learned to eat cleaner. I've have gone down several sizes in my clothes and I feel better about myself. All POSITIVE things!

Being extremely overweight and going into personal training sessions was one of the most intimidating experiences of my life. But Justin Michaels instantly put me at ease. He is one of the hardest driven and focused individuals I have come to know and is extremely motivating. When I started training with him I let him know of my physical limitations and he has modified my workout to what he thinks I am capable of doing. He is extremely knowledgeable about the workings of all the muscle groups and can work through any injury you may have.
Over the past year training with Justin I learned the words “I can’t” are not part of his vocabulary and he has motivated me enough that I have learned to avoid those words not only in my training but also in my life. Through his encouragement he has brought me more confidence in what I can do not only in the gym but also in life. Justin’s workouts are demanding, tough and always varied and I always feel challenged in every class. And when it is done I always feel proud of what I have accomplished. I had gone to gyms for years and always thought I was working hard but I have realized through working out with Justin what a workout really is. Both Justin and my fellow workout partners never make me feel out of place and I am so grateful to have found Justin and his gym.

I have been training with Justin for two years now thanks to his generous sponsorship of the Miss Bristol-Forestville Scholarship Organization and not only has he changed the way that I look at fitness but he has changed the way that I look at my life. Justin Michels is a truly excellent trainer. He is the perfect combination of tough and warm, and he works with the whole person -- mentally, emotionally and physically. Because of his efforts, I am stronger and more flexible, I have better balance and most importantly, working out has become fun. I recommend him without reservation. I have been a client of Justin’s for several years. I have had various issues over that time, and he has always been able to help me and get me back to exercising. I had tight IT bands, hip flexor issue, and neck pain. Between his "hands-on" therapy and exercises I was able to resolve these issues. The worst was this year when I had upper buttocks pain and spasms. I could barely walk. My chiropractor and another medical doctor kept saying it was arthritis or spinal stenosis. Justin thought I was doing too many repetitive movements. He worked with me and modified my program, and I am now pain free and able to participate fully in exercises. He is the best!

It will be 2 years since I started working out under the guidance of Justin Michaels and I have to say that it has been the best thing that I have done for myself. He is a very knowledgeable trainer who will modify your workouts according to your body limitations and help increase your overall strength and fitness. Of course, the muscle definition is a bonus! I wouldn't think of going elsewhere for my fitness needs...ever.

I have been with justin for just under 2 years now. I have always been an exerciser, (box gym fitness classes). I wasn't getting the desired results. Shortly after starting small group training with him, my body started to change. Stronger, leaner, more fit, with losing some weight. Justin always keeps us challenged and our workouts are never boring. I love our small group training sessions and will be a client of his for ever.
